President Receives Letters of Credence from new Ambassadors to Iraq


President Salih accepted today at the al-Salam Palace in Baghdad the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassadors of Canada Ulric Shannon, Afghan Salim Shah, Finland Vesa Hakkinen and Venezula Arturo Anibal Gallegos Ramirez to Iraq.    
The President noted the importance of fostering friendly relations with the worlds' States and stepping them up to high levels as well as providing new opportunities to further constructive cooperation across various fields. 
While welcoming the new Ambassadors, the President highlighted that Iraq' external relations are based on the principles of taking into account the common interest of all nations in the ways that realize the progress and prosperity for Iraqis and friendly peoples as well. He wished the newly appointed Ambassadors would have all the success in the performance of their next tasks.
