" O the proud, free Iraqis,
Today, we commemorate our great victory over the most heinous criminals of the age after they occupied our beloved city, Mosul, after committing the crimes of corruption and killing, slaving the people and destroying the city.
We commemorate the anniversary as you are more powerful and having a broader aspiration.
It was a great battle.
Due to your steadfastness and your courage and your patience, the shame was criminals' ultimate reward. And the honor and the pride were being our share.
Our sacrifices were great; and our victory, dignity, and the prestige of country deserved such sacrifices.
When ISIS seized cities and villages, the human values, urbanization and civilization had been set back. Our victory against these criminals is to uphold these values, human dignity and to attain the lofty values of life.
The emergence of ISIS, Al-Qaida and all the extremist forces was the downhill toward the dark caves while Iraq's victory achieved the value of human hope by enabling human being to live a life of dignity with having peace and security.
We fought ISIS, and liberated Mosul, and restored cities and villages through these great sacrifices, brave people, the will, unity and cohesion of free Iraqis in one of the most dangerous confrontations being faced by our people and the country in our lifetime.
On behalf of all Iraqis, I pay homage to those who had sacrificed their lives, the martyrs, the injured as well as the heroes of the victory makers in our armed forces, army, police, PMF, Peshmerga, tribal fighters, intelligence and security services.
I highly appreciate the responsible role of the religious authority in this confrontation, which is a key role in achieving victory as I hail the determination and courage of Iraqi women and men those living in different Iraqi cities and villages, responding to the appeal of the country.
On behalf of the Iraqis, I reiterate our thanks to the peoples and Governments of friendly countries who have supported our forces by providing logistical, intelligence and air support. Therefore, they showed a noble example of what human solidarity means in facing the challenges.
The great victory places us before greater responsibilities as you, our men and women, are enable to overcome the difficulties.
We will not be comfortable until the last displaced and immigrant could be returned home to enjoy stability and security and to live a life of dignity. We, therefore, will not rest until we reconstruct and bring the life back to the devastated cities.
Our efforts will never be reduced until the remnants of ISIS, terrorism, crime and corruption in all its forms be totally eliminated.
Our victory against ISIS and the liberating of our cities put in front of all of us as people, government and national forces a huge responsibility to strengthen State institutions so as to restore confidence in the prestige of the State and reassure citizens, wherever they live, on their lives, their security and future of their children.
Our present circumstance in all its complications underlines the importance of this responsibility and its priority, and it also emphasizes that we have no choice but to keep going with having the determination of victory, freedom and building. Through holding our free national will, we could achieve everything. if the will of peoples was risen, all the difficulties will be overcome.
As authorities, we proudly bear this responsibility. We are fully confidence that our people are standing with us. Our people stand with us shoulder by shoulder to challenge and overcome the difficulties to achieve a better future for us, our sons and the future which Iraq deserve.
Throughout the time, Iraqis presented images of the championship and the challenge that we can all be proud of, and that are dear to our friends. Therefore, we have to complete the path by building a strong capable sovereign State which is based on modern foundations. The scourges of corruption should be eradicated by unified will power and tireless determination.
O our dear Iraqis, you have achieved a lot of what the whole peoples can be proud of. And Iraq deserves more than it has, and deserves what is more and the greater.
Let us to move forward toward our future that we want with having one, unified will.
The triumph is always within your grasp.
